Celeb Birthday: Albert King

Friday, April 25th, 2008

Fans, Friends, Family, lend me your ears!

This is the first of many to come, a new series of bulletin posts by yours truly.
In these posts we will remember the life and times of great guitarists from the days of yore … today?

ALBERT KING,  b. 1923  (April 25)

My favorite song of this legendary artist is Born Under A Bad Sign.  It was actually written and recorded by the great William Bell, but I think most Blues afficianados would agree that King’s version is the more widely-known.

Southeast Performer Mag v.1.0

Monday, April 7th, 2008

So, I was selected via Sonicbids.com to be reviewed in an issue of Performer Magazine, one of the nation’s most prominent Music trade mags.  That was sometime in Fall of 2007.  Then, I released Live In 2007 on December 1st (’07).  Then I sent the record off to Southeast Performer Mag.  And I just found out today that it will be in the May issue!!!  I’m very excited, to say the least.  Since they selected me, I’m thinking it will be a positive review.  I’m so excited!!!!!!!!!   Thanks for all your support and don’t forget to read the May issue.  “v.2.0″ of this post will probably happen in 4 weeks  :)
