Nick Edelstein

Mini-Bio

Born and raised in central Florida, Nick started banging out tunes on the piano at age 4. Now 23 years wiser, he’s an experienced musical tour-de-force. Freelance multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Nick is licensed with BMI and endorsed by Holland Guitars. In addition to performing with his band, he’s currently collaborating with a South African lyricist and Israeli Hip-Hop duo Axum.

Naturalist, spiritualist, environmentalist, his stylistic influences are vast but he always returns to the Blues: “I’m all about creating the moment, so come see my band and contribute to the vibe!”

Following the success of Edelstein’s first LP, Ripple, and sophmore release Live In 2007, album #3 is underway.

The Band

Nick Edelstein – vocals / guitars

Reviews and Quotes

“It was a pleasure having your band open for mine. Terrific job, hope to see you on down the trail. Absolute best to you!”

*** Devon Allman (July 2009) ***

“Nick is such a fabulous entertainer. I was not only impressed with his guitar skills, but his relation with the audience. His memory of everyone’s names was truly amazing. We hope that he puts us on his calendar for next year.”

*** Cindy Rivers, Events Coordinator, Warren Co. Chamber of Commerce (July 2009) ***

“I heard tons of compliments about the band. I will absolutely be calling you to play more events!!!”

*** Abby Peck, Events Manager, Jewish Funds for Justice (July 2009) ***

“Georgia-based Blues rocker, guitarist, and singer/songwriter Edelstein plays straightforward Blues-touched rock and roll. The writing is strong while his band accents the classic guitar riffs on both rockers and ballads.”

*** Creative Loafing – Charlotte, NC (June 2007) ***

“Nick matches immaculate phrasing and speed with soulful, tasteful melodies!”

*** Lexi Tabback, The Piedmont Review (Atlanta, GA) ***

“Tasteful Blues Rock is on the menu from Atlantan Nick Edelstein, whose album ‘Ripple’ features him tearing through tunes both bluesy and funky; there’s a little Stevie Ray in there, some Hendrix and even a twinge of the Red Hot Chili Peppers from the rhythm section of Scott Brown on bass and Monty Coursey on drums.”

*** Flagpole – Athens, GA (December 2006) ***

“4 stars! Nick gives us a sophisticated take on rock, while at the same time managing to leave a certain rawness still intact thereby giving the whole sound a greater depth of feeling than you generally expect from this approach . . .”

*** The BluesBunny (U.K.) ***

“Imagine if Skynyrd were starting up today — post Atlanta Rhythm Section, post Red Hot Chili Peppers. That’s the feeling I get with Nick Edelstein. Songs like “Kentucky Sun” and “Tripping” are great live, under the sun with drink in hand. “Sign From Above” is old-school pop, like Styx or Kansas.”

*** Southern Fried Magazine (May 2007) ***

“Pretty-boy presence … coy-ish appeal … a breath of fresh, understated sensuality. Nick obviously likes Rock, which adds a funky edge to his Blues expression … I got a taste of Santana and even a little Van Halen. He’s sneaky with it. Ladies, you’ll have a hard time deciding whether to bake him some cookies or mess up his hair!”
