Happy Passover

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Hope you’re all enjoying this Spring and the fabulous holidays it brings. My wife and I hosted our family’s Passover Seders for the first time, and with much success! Visit Sara’s blog for a photo of her grandmother’s Seder plate (it did a wonderful job).

And now that the rituals are over … time for the chocolate Seder-plate-shaped dessert version!  hahaha thank G-d for Manischewitz!

Heart 2 Heart

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Hope you’re having a wonderfully romantic escape. I know many folks look down upon this time of the year as a merchant’s excuse to sell cards and chocolate, but I like to think of it as an excuse to get away.

Pause from the normal routines and call your parents. Skype with your friends from 1,000 miles away. Get in-touch with your inner Romantic. No I do not endorse going around kissing strangers; I’m thinking more of the 19th-century Romantic [literary] period … Try unplugging from your desk / phones … Stop reading this blog and write a poem :)
