Hey there! It’s been many moons since my last post. Truth is I’ve had a lot to talk about – so much going on! - just didn’t have time to blog. Why? Well I’ve been spending very little time at my desk! Very happy about that

I had a great New Years Eve gig at the Crimson Moon, picked up an endorsement from Holland Guitars, began playing organ/ piano/ guitar/ mandolin for Connor Christian & Southern Gothic, and laid some studio tracks for The Moody Jews’ new album. Those are just a few of the many exciting things happening!

So what finally prompted a blog post? The new WordPress app update for iPhone. I was super excited when I got my phone in August, and super sad when the WordPress ap didn’t allow posting to non-wordpress-hosted blogs. But I had faith and sure enough, they figured it out! So expect a steady stream of posts from my phone, aka “the road” ~Nick

Suprise show w/Shufflejunkies!

Did ya like that alliteration? I indeed have the great pleasure of being friends with not one, not two, but all three Shufflejunkies! Y’all who attended my Feb. 16 gig in Dahlonega (@ Crimson Moon) know that Shufflejunkies opened up. They did me a favor that night, and thanks to fate I was able to return that favor not long afterwards – and at the same venue!

Shufflejunkies, Georgia’s newest Blues-Rock trio, played Crimson Moon on May 2. I grabbed my acoustic, rode shotgun in Andy’s truck, and did a riveting 45-min. opening set! I got to see my friend Greer, and Dana’s staff was friendlier than ever. Thanks to Bob’s awesome engineering our sound was rockin’ all night. My next Crimson Moon show is Saturday, May 31!!!

Got plans for V-Day weekend?

On Saturday, February 16, head to lovely Dahlonega, GA. The Appalachian “Blue Ridge” Mountains are absolutley breathtaking during this time of year, covered in thick snow with crystal clear waterfalls and glistening streams. Too chilly for a hike? - snuggle up with hot cocoa and great music! The Crimson Moon is the premier venue in North Georgia. A dinner theater with comfy sofas, amazing food and friendly wait staff it is a no-brainer. Only a quick 60-minute drive from Atlanta. $10 adv., $12 door.
