Artwork Approved for TMJ CD

January of this year, The Moody Jews released their self-titled debut online. Now after months of sales, the decision was made to manufacture physical copies. Artwork was needed for the rear panel and disc …

I volunteered, being the only member of the band with experience on Adobe Illustrator. This is the result of my efforts, approved yesterday.

My design was inspired by Jackson Pollack. Kidding! I took my inspiration from Matisyahu’s album, Live At Stubbs. Thank G-d for brushes and eraser.

TMJ Announces Chanukah Show in Boca

Yes, that’s right! Ladies and gentlemen, The Moody Jews will descend upon Boca Raton, FL this December for a very special Chanukah concert. Why so special? Well, it’s the first TMJ concert since 2008 and is no longer your zeide’s sing-a-long … The 90-minute set consists of all-original music which we have worked, re-worked and fine-tuned to Rock perfection – except for the second-to-last song, “Light One Candle” (after all, it is Chanukah).

We’ve been practicing our tuchas off to bring an outstanding, world-class Rock show to the good folks of southern Florida and they won’t be disappointed.

The venue is B’nai Torah Congregation and tickets are on sale now. Contact information (for the synagogue) is available on the Tour page under the “Info” column – just click “view more info.”

TMJ album is done!

The Moody Jews‘ debut album is finally done! MP3s will be posted ASAP!
Begun on January 4th with engineer Paul Lynch, TMJ set out to record our 5 best songs. Written by Cantor Steve Hevenstone, they are a blend of classic Rock, World beats, traditional Hebrew verse and more … I’m very excited that TMJ can finally share its sounds with fans outside of live performances. ~Nick
